I thought I posted a review about this Corporate abomination of a hospital (CEOs are not DRs they only have profits for their investors as a Priority!)

Care was great until after the Surgery, The ER, Tests, Admitting, The Surgery but after being moved to a room post surgery It was like I was at a completely different hospital? . I had my Appendix removed here they treated me like crap after the surgery because I had other issues mainly my Back (I found I have Sciatica a few years after the surgery) my other issue is then using inexperienced people performing some procedures. Before my Appendectomy I had a growth removed from the back of my knee I had no idea what it was it was there for years , when their performed the outpatient surgery a few staff were in the room they directed someone to inject the numbing agent and immediately started to cut it from my leg seconds after the injection? I yelled that I felt the scalpel they said It was only pressure? No it wasn't! I know the difference between a Blade cutting my skin and pressure! Halfway through the injection finally worked. This was nothing short of torture!! They couldn't wait 2-3 minutes for the numbing agent to take effect?? And after the Appendectomy I wanted to leave because of how they were treating me they did everything in their power to make leaving because of bad treatment as hard as possible, they refused to call me a cab, they refused to give me the transportation waiver, I had to almost crawl to the elevator to get to a phone in the lobby to call the cab myself! Yes I could have pulled my staples out, but they were ignoring my pain and teg Drs orders for meds why I don't know he wrote them down and said it in front of the staff! They did what they wanted . I released myself a day early because of this , no wheelchair, I could barely walk because of my back. But had to get home so my wife could watch over me while whatever happened to my back during surgery healed. They must have twisted me when I was unconscious messing with the siatic nerve. . they also lied and said the taxi would not take me home if I paid them after the ride 6 blocks away? Yes they did, these people should be politicians they lie and gaslight people. I have a very high pain tolerance I actually drove myself to the ER with an appendix about to burst!! Unfortunately I had my vehicle towed back home so I wasn't sitting at the hospital. My wife is legally blind so she couldn't drive if she wanted to. Avoid this company if at all possible. It's not about medical or the Oaths DRs take, it's about Profits. These corporate medical companies should be outlawed ! It's peoples lives they are playing with not Amazon orders!!!! Any positive reviews are either Fake (some sound like a fever dream) or severely Biased ! Just read the 99% negatives to the few unbelievable positives make your decision.

Not happy. Had an appt with the cardiologist, who was great but our appt was at 10 am. We got there at 930 like we were told and we weren't seen until 12. We weren't even taken back to the exam room until 11. Very frustrating with a 2 month old baby, they have appointment times for a reason.

I went to Conemaugh after having to be pulled off my train due to medical complications. I had my service dog with me, a Great Dane, and the nurses and doctors at Conemaugh were the kindest, most caring people and they treated us with so much love. They were so understanding and allowed my dog to stay with me the whole time, even allowing my babygirl to get in bed with me to comfort me and brought her food and water. They took her out to potty since I was unable due to my condition, and put us into a hotel when discharged to wait for the next train to come so we could continue our trip. I’ll always fondly remember our experience at Conemaugh and am eternally grateful for the wonderful people there who made a difficult experience so much easier to deal with. Thank you for all that you do; I couldn’t have asked for better treatment. Absolutely highly recommended!

Can't rate any of the medical team because I couldn't even make an appointment. Receptionist who answered my call kept putting me on hold, and during what conversation we did have she kept calling me "sweetheart." I'm a woman in my 40s, not a child, so that seemed very unprofessional and a little condescending. After being put on hold for the 4th or 5th time I just hung up. I'll seek medical attention somewhere else.

This place was AWFUL! The nurses are rude and completely not helpful!! After having a c-section, I asked if they would be able to take the baby to the nursery while I slept after having been up for well over 24 hours and being on pain medication, I was worried that I would fall asleep with the baby. I was told by the nurse that they couldn’t do that and it was my responsibility to take care of my baby. She was incredibly rude and made it seem as though I just didn’t want to take care of my so...

She was incredibly rude and made it seem as though I just didn’t want to take care of my son which couldn’t have been further from the truth! If I were to have another baby, I would make the trip to another hospital. I would have been better to check out early and actually have a support system at home during my recovery.

My family and I have had mostly great care from the staff at this Hospital. We have always considered Conemaugh Memorial to be our Hospital. However, making people wait longer before surgery ( and it happened on a testing day also) so the staff can have lunch is not very nice. In other businesses, we don't just leave our customer sit there and go to lunch. Also, not letting the patient (outpatient) go to the cafeteria to eat before leaving was very upsetting today. In other businesses, we don't just leave our customer sit there and go to lunch. Also, not letting the patient (outpatient) go to the cafeteria to eat before leaving was very upsetting today. My husband had to fast and hadn't eaten in almost a day and I am diabetic and had to drive. I know it's all about lawsuits. How about creating a waiver that we can sign that we won't sue if we fall on the way out? It was very upsetting after spending all day at the hospital.

Terrible. I was admitted but I was in ER for 24 hours with no end in sight so I checked myself out. After my initial intake I did not see a doctor or told what the plan of action was for my care. I asked for a pillow they said they didn't have any. Lies. I asked for a reclining chair they said they didn't have any. Lies.
